Celeste Fine Founding Partner, co-CEO

Working as a bestselling author can be the best job in the world, but it can also feel impossible to sustain in a publishing industry that expects more than ever. For Celeste, her clients’ ability to do what they love for a lifetime is her #1 priority.

Celeste’s selective client list spans fiction and nonfiction and includes a dozen #1 New York Times bestselling authors whose books have sold millions of copies in every language around the world, such as Fredrik Backman, Janet Evanovich, David Goggins, Deborah Harkness, Helen Hoang, Elle Kennedy, Debbie Macomber, Marisha Pessl, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Jeneva Rose, Nicholas Sparks, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and Jennifer Weiner.

While she is known in the industry for negotiating 7- and 8-figure deals, she is most proud of her record connecting authors with publishing, tv, and film partners that match their priorities and vision.  She is a voracious reader and thoughtful editor who works closely with her authors on their proposals and manuscripts. And as a trusted member of her clients’ inner circles, she is always their first call when they have complex problems in their business or life (Should I take this creative risk even if we don’t know if it will work? Can I say “No” to all media or touring when I am feeling burnt out?) or more simple questions like changing their delivery schedules and asking publishers to design completely new book covers.

Whether launching a debut author’s career or expanding a global brand, Celeste and her team provide robust and rigorous representation when it comes to books, tv, and film, advising clients on marketing and publicity campaigns, touring, retail promotions, special editions, announcements, social media, international markets, speaking, AI, merchandise, and more. Her goal is to keep readers engaged with her authors and their work year after year, while prioritizing her clients’ wellbeing.

Originally from California, Celeste graduated magna cum laude in Government from Harvard University and trained in international conflict resolution and mediation in The Hague.

Celeste has a special interest in authors who have been writing books with some success and are ready to break out in exciting new directions; established writers seeking a fresh approach to reaching readers; screenwriters crossing into books; and scientists, researchers, and podcasters who want to change the world.
