Peter Knapp is a partner and agent, representing adult, young adult, and middle grade fiction.
Peter’s clients include bestselling authors Soman Chainani, Ayana Gray, Adalyn Grace, Rachel Griffin, Maiya Ibrahim, Xan Kaur, Shelby Mahurin, Becka Mack, Rebecca Mix, Ginny Myers Sain, Alyssa Sheinmel, K. X. Song, Sue Lynn Tan, Alyssa Villaire, LaDarrion Williams, and Amélie Wen Zhao, and award winners and critically-acclaimed authors such as Daniel Aleman, Emily Bain Murphy, Julia Drake, Ryan La Sala, and Newbery Honor recipient Kate O’Shaughnessy. He also represents Adi Alsaid, Lane Clarke, K.A. Cobell, Francesca Flores, Isi Hendrix, Taylor J. LaRue, Petra Lord, Sarena and Sasha Nanua, Danielle Parker, Kate Pearsall, and Melody Robinette, among others. He is looking for both emerging voices and established authors, and what drew him to the agenting side of the business is not just what he likes working on, but also who he likes working with: authors with big career ambitions and something to say. He is always on the hunt for smart commercial and upmarket fiction, and is particularly eager to add more breakout adult fiction and standout middle grade, across genres, to his list in 2026.
Peter joined Park, Fine & Brower, then Park Literary Group, in 2011. He is a graduate of New York University, and now lives in Brooklyn with his husband.
